Want to add your voice?
PupJournal amplifies the voices of dogs and the humans who love them. We are looking for dog lovers, dog professionals, and those with experience in foster and adoption to contribute stories to our community.
Types of stories we’re interested in
We are looking for both personal narratives as well as content from experienced trainers, veterinarians, rescue groups, or other professionals. We’re interested in a variety of stories and styles of posts, and encourage you to pitch us a story if you have a unique idea. Some of the areas we’re particularly excited to feature are:
- Experiences fostering and adopting dogs
- Training tips (for dog training professionals)
- Training or working with a service animal
- Military working dogs
- Common questions regarding dogs’ health (for veterinary professionals)
- Dogs helping people, families, and organizations
- Stories about the bond between humans, dogs, and other family pets
If you’d like to contribute a picture of your dog rather than write an article, go to Submit Your Pup or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

How do I pitch a story?
Fill out the form below and include a sample of your original writing. We’re interested in contributors who aren’t writers, too–if you have an important story to tell but need help shaping your article, we can work with you to help turn your idea into a reality.
What should I include in my writing sample?
In the form below, provide us with a link to or upload a sample of your previous original work. You can also copy and paste a brief sample directly into the form. Alternatively, provide a short abstract of the piece you wish to submit for publication. Please only submit original work.
