Herbert, a pup soon to be available for adoption through PAWS Chicago, surprised his foster mom recently by flashing a huge grin when asked to say “cheese.”
Herbert was rescued in December 2015, and according to the Huffington Post, a spokesperson for PAWS Chicago said “His feet were splayed and he was under-socialized, which might suggest that he spent a lot of time in a cage.” Additionally, Herbert has canine influenza (CIV), so must recover away from other animals due to the highly contagious nature of CIV. After he is fully recovered from canine influenza, he will be available for adoption. Despite these challenges, Herbert’s loving personality shines through.
