“Smokey” the puppy is one lucky dog.

Last week, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department in Pennsylvania received a call about a “possible dwelling fire.” Neighbors told the police that there was a puppy inside the residence, so one member of the department, Officer Breitfeller, forced his way into the home, which was “full of smoke.”

He was able to save the puppy, who he called “Smokey.”

“Smokey,” above with the officer that saved him, was grateful to be alive. Below, the sweet pup tries to get back into the officer’s arms.
